Terms & Conditions
-Quotes are valid for 30 days
-If invoice is not paid for by the due date a $10 Late Fee will be applied every 7 days
- We will try and contact you by phone and/or email regarding overdue invoices. If we are unable to get in contact/ receive no response after 3 attempts there will be a $5 charge added to your invoice for every phone call/email to get in contact with you regarding overdue amounts.
-If invoice is remains unpaid we will refer to a debt collection service for unpaid debt and the right to commence legal proceedings for any money owed to us. You acknowledge and agree that you (client) will be liable for and will pay all costs including debt collection, commission, solicitor’s fees and any out of pocket expenses. You (client) will indemnify us for the full amount of legal and debt recovery costs.
-Ownership of the Goods will not pass until: (a) the Client has paid J&S Garage Door Services all amounts owing for the particular Goods and associated Services; and (b) the Client has paid J&S Garage Door Services all amounts owing in respect of all other invoices between J&S Garage Door Services and the Client. - The Client further agrees that until J&S Garage Door Services has received payment of all amounts owing to it by the Client: (a)J&S Garage Door Services may give notice in writing to the Client to return the Goods or any of them to J&S Garage Door Services. Upon such notice the rights of the Client to obtain ownership or any other interest in those Goods will cease; (b)if the Client fails to return the Goods to J&S Garage Door Services then J&S Garage Door Services or J&S Garage Door Services agent may (as the invitee of the Client) enter upon and into land and premises owned, occupied or used by the Client, or any premises where the Goods are situated, and take possession of the Goods
-Warranty is voided if any alterations are made to the product
-No warranty on any products not provided by J&S Garage Door Services
-J&S Garage Door services are not responsible for any damages or issues that are caused by brick quality, not having suitable anchor/ support points.
-Manufacturing warranty is through the manufacturer and varies per manufacturer.
-Labour & Installation warranty by J&S Garage Door Services is valid for 90 days.
-J&s Garage Door Services reserves the right to use our discretion to replace, repair or refund a product/service.
-J&S Garage Door Services reserves the right to conduct repairs to marks, scratches, dents, or imperfections (including the use of touch up paint or other paint)
notice of any claimed defect in materials or workmanship in or resulting from installation of any door shall have been given to J&S GARAGE DOOR SERVICES within the below stated time periods:-
• any claim for damaged product must be made within 7 days of installation or delivery, and
• user must immediately cease use of faulty or damaged product/s and notify J&S Garage Door Services within 48 hours of fault/damage occuring.
What is Not Covered / Exclusions The warranty does not cover defects, damage, or loss caused by:
Variations in timber-look colours or finishes.
Normal weathering, including natural reduction in paint gloss or colour change over time. Paint flaking or peeling that naturally occurs over time.
Unauthorised modifications to any of our products.
Accidental, deliberate or negligent damage including but not limited to impact damages caused by any object striking your door.
Natural events or theft (including but not limited to storms, high winds, fire, flood, hail, earthquakes).
Coastal or industrial environments, such as areas with high salt exposure or subject to industrial fallout.
Rust, corrosion, or water damage. Repairs by unauthorised persons or businesses.
Continued use after a defect or fault becomes apparent.
Use of incorrect cleaning material (acid wash or similar) on the door or adjacent. Incorrect storage or handling after delivery.
Structural issues or weaknesses at the installation site, including but not limited to hollow cavities, masonry, or similar surfaces.
This includes any weakening, cracking, deterioration, or collapse of the structure or surface during installation or use, to which the product is or is intended to be affixed.
Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to scratches, paint rubs, and scuffs on panels or at door panel joins.
Minor defects not visible from a normal viewing position.
A normal viewing position is defined as observing the surface from a distance of 3 meters in normal daylight and under non-critical light conditions, where the light striking the surface is diffused and not glancing or parallel to the surface. Cosmetic damage on the back of doors.
Pre-existing products that are not supplied and installed by us.
Third-party devices or modifications.
Garage doors are not designed to be watertight or debris-tight fixtures. Damage or issues caused by driving rain, excessive water intrusion, or penetration of debris, rodents, or pests will not be covered under this warranty.
Please note that garage doors are classified under Class 10 of the building code as non-habitable structures, and the bottom weather seal is not intended to act as a water barrier.
Damage caused by insects, dirt, plants or other objects.
Electrical issues or surges, faulty or unsuitable electrical wiring of buildings. When manually operating the garage door, users should guide the door slowly and steadily until it is fully opened or closed.
At no time should the door be flung or allowed to move uncontrollably.
The applied manual force must not exceed 20kg, as the door’s spring system is designed to bear the weight and facilitate smooth operation.
Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in damage to the door or its components, which will not be covered under this warranty.
Signal or transmission issues, including unavailability, caused by radio frequency or electrical interference.
Faulty installations not performed by us.
Battery backups and manual releases are for emergencies only. Continued use will not be covered.
J&S Garage Door Services reserves the right to change our warranty, terms and conditions at any time without notice.
